The Architecture Workshop designed Waitomo Glowworm Caves Visitors Centre has been included as one of the 10 most Transformative Architecture projects showcasing New Zealand in the last decade. More importantly Grant Webster the CEO of Tourism Holdings suggests that the building is well positioned in the landscape and flows well for the users. As well as being a stunning building aesthetically, he goes on to say the ‘sky shell’ connects with the essence of Waitomo. We need more clients like Grant as well as THL project leader Quinton Hall, along with Ngati Ruapuha and Ngati Uekaha who are partners in the operation of the caves.
