Christopher Kelly on the Judging Panel of 2016 Dulux Intergrain Timber Awards
Recently, Christopher Kelly spent a day in Sydney, locked in a room with articulate strangers, sorting rapidly through 191 entries for the Dulux Intergrain Timber Awards- a sort of beauty pageant, but without the "my vision for fixing the world" interview!
We suggested that next year it would assist the culture of architecture if a plan and a section were submitted for each project as well as the selfies.
Nevertheless, it was surprisingly easy to reach consensus on the best projects, as you can see from the line-up. The Dulux Travel Award is a very generous grant to an emerging practitioner so congratulations to Tasmanian practice, Cumulus Studio.
