The project’s scope involves both strengthening and heritage refurbishment of the 1930's ‘Nestle’ building as a new Head Office for Wellington cosmetic company Antipodes.
New K-braced earthquake frames were incorporated to bring the building up to 130% of National Building Standard. A laneway with new windows and a three-storey conservatory/light well were integrated into the old shell to support a new office layout, skin clinic and retail shopfront, enhancing the Antipodes brand and providing a compelling example of integrated public/private space.
