On 7 June, NZIA Southern Region awarded AW with the Hospitality Architecture Award for The Lindis Lodge.

Judges Citation:

"This exclusive high country retreat illustrates how a stunning location can be occupied almost by stealth. The sensuously moulded undulating roof assimilates seamlessly with the surrounding alluvial moraine landforms. A beautifully crafted interior skin envelops seductively articulated and texturally rich volumes. The luscious materiality of the moody ‘cave-like’ interior creates a sense of refuge and intimacy within the immense landscape. One can only be in awe of the clarity of vision, creativity and sheer tenacity required to create such a technically sophisticated, materially rich and context-appropriate place in the landscape."
