Christopher Kelly’s colleague Prof. Peter Sassenroth won a competition to build a non-denominational church in no-man’s land in Prenzlauer Berlin. A gentle building with an inner core of rammed earth.

The wall cut a swath between residential housing in this part of Berlin and the western side is now marked by corten poles. The graphics on the wall brought home to us a little of the trauma of those times, 25 years ago.
